Agreement Signed for Canada China Low-Carbon Technology Demonstration Project in Kaiping, Guangdong, China (March 25, 2010)

An agreement was signed between the Cuishanhu Economic Development Zone Administrative Commission and CCTC on March 25, 2010, to build a Canada China Low-Carbon Technology Demonstration Center within this Provincial Level Economic Development Zone, which is one of the outcomes of Guangdong’s recent Economy Transfer and Industry Upgrade Strategy.

Under a Contribution Agreement between the Government of Canada and Canada CleanTech Capital Inc. (CCTC), CCTC is undertaking a project in Jiangmen Municipality, Guangdong Province, China, with a contribution commitment of $400,000 from the Government of Canada, to demonstrate the technological applicability and financial viability of geothermal heat pump applications in the coastal regions of South China. The local Chinese government (Kaiping City), and Canadian project partners (CCTC and Canada Menergy Corp.) also contribute financially and technologically into this project.
